The California Puerto Rican Parade & Festival is a Non-Profit Organization 501(c)3

 The California Puerto Rican
Parade and Festival

Is a non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 to preserve the history and culture of Puerto Rico in California and to keep our heritage alive for our children.

During the past thirteen years the organization has sponsored many charitable events in our community. We are committed to helping families in need, promoting cultural diversity and educating our children in the traditions of Puerto Rico.

Our ultimate goal is to build a cultural center that will provide a permanent residence to continue our activities such as the monthly cultural classes. To help raise funds we hold an annual festival from three consecutive days commemorating the feast day of San Juan Bautista in June.

Message From  Chairperson
Rebecca Díaz

am very proud of our organization which has overcome so many obstacles to prevail and bring us to the point we are today. Through all the difficulties and sacrifices we have accomplish so much in so little time. We look forward to the “Return” of our Parade in the upcoming year (2013). For that I thank one and each of the Staff Members & Volunteers and all the organizations who have stayed present and helped us to continue the legacy of preserving our heritage and culture. They have donated their time and worked very hard for the preparation of all our events and future endeavors; including our next Parade in 2013.

Our Mission is to preserve the history of our Puerto Rican culture in California through awareness by keeping our heritage alive for our children. Our main goal is to one day have our “Culture House” to help all Puerto Ricans by promoting advancements, culture, and education in their lives. In 2011 the National Puerto Rican Day Parade dedicated their parade to the State of California and with great honor we marched down 5th Avenue in Manhattan New York on June 12, 2011. We represented thousands of proud Puerto Ricans worldwide. For this accomplishment I am extremely happy and proud. I know we represented them well.
